Why I Built ESCP — A Personal Note from Amanda McKenzie, Founder

At 50, my life fell apart in the way that only a perfect storm can manage. I was recently separated, freshly diagnosed with breast cancer, and standing in a bathroom aisle trying to find something — anything — that felt like it was made for a woman like me. A real woman. A woman navigating her body through treatment, through grief, through the strange and quiet reinvention that follows when the life you built simply stops being the life you're living.

There was nothing. Not really. What existed in the intimate wellness space was either designed for someone else entirely, packaged like something to be hidden under a bed, or so clinical it felt like a prescription rather than a pleasure. I kept searching. I kept coming up empty. So I did what I've always done when I can't find what I need: I decided to build it myself.
